Having checked, it appears that Merritt Ruhlen (A Guide to the World's
Languages, Edward Arnold, London 1991) lists 4.774 living lgs. Thus the
Ethnologue doesn't list 50% more lgs than Ruhlen, as I claimed, only 40
something %.
