Hi.

O dear o dear, I probably mixed up the words trouw (true) and duur, (for
the word doorn with the old meaning tree, look at the names of the towns
Apeldoorn, Doorn, and Appeltern in the Netherlands. )
Trouw definitely has to do with the word for oak tree. A reliable
Robust.... Tree
And the word Tar (teer in Dutch) has also something to do with it.
