There are various translations at:

(I am nothing to do with this site).
The copyright owners of the translations (and the original) are,
unfortunately not credited for their work.

I particularly enjoyed the Old English version.  Tolkien's verse uses
alliteration too, but it's reduced to a poetic device - mortal/men,
domed/die is on a level with the series of vowels (Elves get front
vowels, Dwarves get back vowels, and Men have both).
