Thir is aither a pronoon ar adjective.

1. Pron pl. o this = 'these'. Obsolete in N.
'Thir is' cam tae be 'thirs' whan uised predicatively poss.
Whan 'thir' is uised absolute athoot a noon follaein it for ordinar becomes
'thirs', (Tho wad spellin thir's no mak mair sense?)
