I had a bothersome virus trying to enter my e-mail..It appears that a hacker
picked up an email address that the original owner had cancelled(maybe
because he had the virus) This kept coming several times a day, which my
installed Norten Anti Virus stopped each time, but it tied up my computer
till I cleared it..The virus is W32.yaha at mm.. I blocked the sender and
notified Telusplanet..I heard that if you put !!1000 in your address book a
virus trying to enter your address book can not get past the !!1000 provided
!!1000 is the top address. Cornelius Bergen

no antivirus software is 100% safe -and no one should believe it is - it
only gives you some safe guard - it is a constant battle between the writers
of viruses and the manufacturers of antivirus software to out wit each other
( some conspiracy theorist have even suggested that viruses were largely
written by the manufacturers of antivirus software to boost their
sales!! ).
The problem I had with Netscape is it seemed to want to associate itself
with AOL - I used to used Netscape - but constantly got annoying
"invitations" to join AOL whenever I used Netscape. Also - Netscape seems
to be a big programme!!
AVG - will link itself with Outlook Express - not Outlook ( I am not getting
commission or anything for mentioning AVG - it's just that i use it - it is
pretty good -has picked up a few viruses before - and most importantly it
is free for personal use.-and it is nice to see the software industry giving
things for free!!

Reynaldo asked: "Would you please complete this quoting translating it to
the
other Lowlands languages? Thanks!"
ENG - I do not open unexpected or unexplained attachments.
NDS - Bilagen, vun de ik niks weten do, de maak ik nich apen.
DEU - Ich öffne keine unerwarteten oder unerklärten Beilagen.
NLD - Ik open geen onverwachte of onverklaarde bijlagen
LIM - Vraem of ónverdutsjde bielages äöpen ich neet.
The Dutch translation looks OK to me...Although I doubt that a Dutchman
would
actually use "bijlage" instead of the commonly used English
alternative "attachment"!
regards,
Mathieu
