Subject: Holidays

Dear Lowlanders,

This coming Sunday will be _Buß- und Bettag_ (Day of Atonement and Prayer)
for our friends in Germany.  Wi schöölt an Ju dinken an düssen düysteren
Nevelmaanddag, leyve vründen.

The High Holiday time is upon our Muslim friends.  On Sunday they will have
Laylat al-Qadr (ل٠لة القدر "Night of Power"), commemorating the night on
which the Holy Qur’ân was bestowed.  This is followed by the end of the
Fasting Month Ramadân (شهر رمضان) and the three-day celebration of  ‘Id al
Fîtr (ع٠د الفطر "Holiday of the Feast").  ! ع٠د الفطر مبارك,  ٠ا أصدقاءنا

This will be followed by the Bahá’í Day of the Covenant on Wednesday and the
Commomoration of the Ascension of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá on Friday.  Happy Holiday's
to our Bahá’í friends also!
