In Zeeuws, 'daerom' or 'dirrem' has exactly the same meaning and is used in
exactly the same way as Afrikaans 'darem'. To speakers of Standard Dutch,
the way we use our cognate of Dutch 'daarom' sounds a bit strange:

't Regent, mae je kan daerom nog wè gae.
't Is nie vee waerm, daerom.
't Is daerom wè zwaer, zò'n examen.
