Do you mean z̡ or z̧ ? (I hope the Unicode works)

Various conributions have led me to believe that the symbols for palatalized
alveolar [s] and [z] (
Similar to [ʃ] and [ʒ]) are [ɕ] vl alveolopalatal fricative and [ʑ] vd
alveolopalatal fricative

The SilDoulos IPA font has to be the Unicode version available at
http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&id=DoulosSILfont

Apparently it is possible to insert unicode into a Word document by putting
NUM LOCK on and then holding down the ALT key while typing the Unicode
character value on the number pad. I have tried this but it seldom returned
the character I expected. I just inserted them by choosing Insert > Special
character etc. These characters can then be copied an pasted into an email.

Thanks to all who answered,
