Actually, I wrote "Germanic", not "German". Big difference. And, yes, it's
not special or different, but there was a time when many people didn't
realise that.

I feel the same about the current Wagner clan (oh dear, agreeing with Ron to
much may endanger my cosy spot in the peanut gallery), although, ironically,
my grandmother's maiden name was Wagner (no relation though). Just like, in
case anyone has been wondering, I am not related to the German national
football goalie.
