It's English too isn't it? We use it here also, "He fell with his bum in the
butter." generally for some scamp who fell into manifestly undeserved good
fortune. Equally, "Hy't bas in die botter geval. "Hy het die wind van agter
gekry." (He caught a following wind) for deserved good fortune.
