Beste Arend ,

Een hummel is gien horzel, mar in het nederlands een hommel.
Een horzel is een peerde vliege, die de peerde op hol jaagt deur ze
(veural) achter de hakk'n te biet'n.

In drents a "hummel" is not in dutch a "horzel", but a big horsefly, who
bites the horses most of the times behind the heels, so that they often
stampede.

Hi,
We speak of a "hummeltje" as a little man/child, maybe due to the
famous little porcelain figurines.
The word "hommel" in Western Flemish means also "hop"(D/E).

In het Engels:

Maar wat bepaalder betekent het dat hij/zij heeft wat in het Duits een
"Fimmel" wordt genoemd.
