Hi Ron,

Thanks, my children's paternal grandmother always refers to the bug as a 
Maikäfer. I guess that name must be restricted to her Schwarzwald Heim.

Maybe I forgot to mention, though I think I did, that kids in my childhood 
neighborhood, too, said _Marienkäfer_ instead of _Maikäfer_.
