Oh, I forgot the first I was more or less in love with when I was very
young (14), a Turkish girl who taught me the sentence <Meliha bir kIz
güzeldir> (Meliha is a nice/beautiful girl). She lived in the village of
Axel in Zeeuwsch-Vlaanderen, where we stayed with my grandmother every
Summer.
The strange thing is that I never had a Low Saxon girlfriend, except for
one Achterhoekse deerne not so very long ago, I should forget about...
The Dutch girlfriends were mostly from the South, Brabant or Limburg
Catholics... I don't know what that means, maybe they are more graceful
and beautiful to me than their Arian Nordic counterparts? I never really
fancied blondes anyway...

Hmmm ... Are you sure, Romeo? Not _Meliha güzel (bir) kızdır_? Or might
she have been deficient in Turkish? (Or am I? Yeah, sure.)
