Mike and all, the problem is that if someone doesn't know the various
spelling systems for dialects and smaller local varieties, he will not
know
what to make of them. When I, being an American with no experience at all
with Frisian and Dutch, see some of the accents and diphthongs that the
Frisian varieties use, I will not know how to make heads or tails of it,
and
it will not do me any good. The sound files are guides to pronunciation
from
which I can see what the spelling system makes of it.
