Beste Lowlanders,
Het Oostends, en eigenlijk het West-Vlaams, kent vele dubbele ontkenningen.
Zo ook:
noojs nie = nooit.
Drie ontkenningen in: dad en hén 'k noojs nie gepéjsd: dat had ik niet
gedacht.
Nowers nie (westelijk van Oostende) of nievers nie (oostelijk van Oostende)
= nergens.
Vergelijk ook: 't en is ogliek noojs gin woar zekerstn : het is toch zeker
niet waar.
J' en hé gie zekerstn gin mênsjhn nie mi gezien? Jij hebt zeker niemand
meer
gezien? (= jij niet hebt jij zeker geen mensen niet meer gezien).
Bé nin 'k gie, 'k en komm nie = wel neen, ik kom niet!
Stief vele groetsjes vanuut Osténde, én toe tnoasteki!

Of course Heiko is right.
On the previous exchanges I might add:
Right in the heart of Holland (Katwijk where I used to live) one might hear
"dat kriig je nooit niet voor mekaar", so I would share Malte´s suspicion
that the Afrikaaners exported their doulble negation from their homeland.

Op een mooie Pinksterdag woj' wel es wat melig ;-)
In Stellingwarf kennen we die 'triple negation' ok in bi'jglieks:
"Ik hebbe et niet (1) daon Moeke, echt niet (2), warkelik waor niet (3)".
