Veur de feestdaegen hadde de vrouw wat lekkers in huus haeld
Alderhaande winkels laggen zoas meerstal weer vol
We stakken oonze gasgestookte elektrische barbecue
mar weer es in de braand
We hadden de hiele buurt vraogd om mit te eten
iederiene nam ok wat mit
wat flessen wien, wat starkers
We daansten op meziek uut et ni'je multi-mediacenter
We vierden de hiele naacht feest
Wie daenkt d'r now an morgen, dan is d'r weer een feest
...
Veur de feestdaegen wol de vrouw wel wat lekkers koken
Op et laand gruuide al jaorenlange haost gien spruut
Ze kreeg de peer takkies veur et vuur onder de kookpot
haost niet in de braand
De hiele stamme van oons volk kwam anlopen
zi'j hadden ok haost niks
alliend een kruke brunig waeter
We daansten op et ritme van haandgeklap en klakgeluud
We hebben et niet zo laete maekt
De aanderemorgen mossen we weer vroeg naor 't laand
