Subject: LL/Humour: Old Scots Tale
For your info a snab is an old Scots word for a shoemaker.
Aye there's a very old Scots tale about a miserable man telling the local
Presbyterian Minister.....
"Meeneester, Goad is awfy unjust tae me. Here Ah staun afore Ye wi naethin'

huz loats of money an aye huz the coast o' a drink oar twa. Whoat cun Ah dae
?"
The minister replied, "Och Sandy just you ask God to help resolve your
problems and all will be well."
Two days later the minister saw Sandy approaching, beaming all over his
normal miserable face."
"Well Sandy" says the Reverend "Did you ask God for help ?"
Aye Meeneester Ah did juist that."
"And did God answer your prayers."
A beaming Sandy replied "Aye Meeneester 'e did an aw. The bluidy Snab
droapped doon deaid last nicht !".
