Not only that, but many, if not most non-native English speakers probably
don't know the word, and even you have trouble spelling it (it's
"Sojourner", actually). :-)

I like the Lowlands Travel Bug...

...or Lowlands Travel Companion...

...or The Flying Lowlander...

...or what about "Lowlands Highlights", "Lowlands High Roads", something
along those lines?

The bad thing about "Travel Tips" is that it sounds so much like "cosmetic
tips" or "household tips"...

But is it only about visiting the Lowlands? I thought we were talking about
travel tips for sites related to Lowlands languages and culture, wherever
they may be in the world (New York, South Africa, Indonesia, Suriname, the
West Indies, etc.)

A sojourner (note the spelling) is someone who lives in a foreign land for
an extended period (but not permanently), not just a visitor.

Why add 'Lowlands' to the travel section? Is that not limiting it to a
geographical area?

I might want to add info about the SA Highveld or the Great Karoo...

*Travel Bug* sounds good! I often have an itch that needs scratching before
I travel somewhere :-)

*Lowlands Wayfarer* after all, maybe?  Better than *Lowlands Waylayer*or *
Lowlands* *Bushwhacker*, of *The Wayward Lowlander*, I suppose*.

*Keep thinking!  Think "places to see" and "good advice" rather than "travel
itineraries."

OK, no So(u)journer then ... Be like that!

Plural "Lowlands Rovers" sounds odd to me, like the name of a football club
or men's choir.  "Lowlands Rover" sounds better, but that's already been
taken by some online fantasy game.  Besides, it sounds like the name of a
British pub.

"Flying Lowlander" is great, but it's been taken, unfortunately.

Hmmm ... "Lowlands Highways"?  It doesn't seem to be taken.

I'm more and more warming up to Kevin's "Wayfarer," and "Lowlands Wayfarer"
is taken yet.

So, you executive and legal types out there, how can we make it our own
without going to enormous trouble and expense?

But then again, Elsie came up with a valid point.  So I suggest we use
"Lowlands-L ..." instead.  The beauty of that is that it is less
place-specific and that it solves the problem of trademark etc.

This is what I have right now as a working draft:

The Lowlands-L
TRAVEL BUG
Places to Experience and Remember

As working draft category I have the following:

   - Places to See
   - Places to Be
   - Places to Meet
   - Places to Stay
   - Places to Eat

Maybe later:

   - Places to Hear

if we get soundlandscapes together.  Oh, and under the same category could
be places in which you get to hear the old languages.

Of course, there could also be

   - Places to Avoid

but we'd better not get into that, not into certain other possibility my
mind is trying to suggest.

The possibilities are numerous, if not endless.  Any suggestions?
