From: R. F. Hahn <sassisch at yahoo.com>
Subject: Media
Dear Lowlanders,
I found an interesting English language newspaper article about the shooting
of the international Low Saxon ("Low German") series of North German Radio
TV in North America:
http://www.beatricedailysun.com/articles/2007/04/19/news/news1.txt
Apparently the series keeps going on, which is good news, at least as far as
I am concerned.
Some of the planned projects mentioned in the article have already been
completed.
They missed me when they were in Seattle but have approached me regarding a
California segment next year. If any of you is in California and interested,
please let me know and I'll see if I can "plug" you. I'd also let them know
about people that are *interested* in the language, something they don't
seem to have covered so far. They've also explored my possible input in a
China segment they're planning. Of course, I have no idea if any of this
will come to anything. They might find me a bit too "exotic." Anyhow, I
"plugged" LL-L as well. I thought I might as well be up front about my
"weirdness."
I also asked them if the series is available on disks for people outside
Germany. Some of you may be interested in this as well.
Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
