I had always thought that a 'light breakfast' or being on a 'light diet'
were so described as being opposite to ' a heavy breakfast' or 'a stodgy
diet' but it would make much more sense if they both actually meant
'little/small'.
Possible?
best wishes on a rainy cold [typical ] June day

PS but the strawberries are good!

Well, almost. English "little" is a diminutive form of now practically
obsolete English "lite", while *lützil* is an older German form of now
practically obsolete German *lützel*.
After the coolest spring on record, summer seems to have finally arrived
here, at least for a few days. It's quite warm already in the morning, and
I'm enjoying a completely clear view of the Olympic Mountains.
People here are getting into vacation mood. Happy July 4th to all in and
from the US of A (or "U, S and A," as Borat would say it)!
Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
