*Jonny wrote : Cows*? Have you got drunken, speaking cattle over there in
Worcestershire ;-)?
OF cows, dear Jonny! Not BY cows!!!!!
Who was it who said in a poem something about "the rolling English cattle
made the rolling English roads"
No cow ever walks in a straight line - as proved by the single track lanes
that surround this house. There is only one small straight piece of lane and
unfortunately my house is at the end of it by a junction and the number of
vehicles that think " Aha a nice straight piece of road - now I can drive
fast" and nearly come a cropper outside our gate, is too great for comfort!
Otherwise the lanes twist and turn and wend their way from hamlet to hamlet
- just as the medieval cows did, whose tracks they are
Heather
