Is this not just typical Lowlandic to emphasize and elaborate and make it
larger than life...

Ons kla steen en been.
Ek het sak en pak getrek.
Hulle stuur die posman van bakboord na stuurboord.
Die arme vent het geen kind of kraai nie.
My buurvrou gesels land en sand oor haar kleinkinders.
Hulle kom van heinde en verre om daar te eet.
