Subject: LL-L "Ethymology"

Hallo Laaglanders, speciaal Nederlands sprekende laaglanders.

Vanmorgen kwam ik ineens weer het woord "bonje" tegen in de betekenis van
vechten.

Mijn etymologisch woordenboek gaf "oorsprong onbekend". Mijn eerste reactie
was, "Dat moet van het maleis afkomen....", maar toen dacht ik ook aan
banjer als in "banjer heer" en dat is vast wel afgeleid van "banier", de
vlag, het vaandel van een troep, soldaten, verkenners etc. Weet iemand van
jullie hier meer van. Vast bedankt. Jacqueline
