Hello Lowlanders:

I learned today about a film called "Silent Light" by Mexican director
Carlos Reygadas.  I saw a review of it on www.salon.com that says, "This is
presumably the first Mexican film ever made that isn't in Spanish, as well
as the first film from any nation made in
Plautdietsch,<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plautdietsch>a Germanic
language or dialect spoken (at least in recent centuries) only by
isolated communities of Mennonites."

I don't know any more about it, but I thought y'all might have an interest.
