Dear Hanne,

point e. is interesting and quite new to me! Does it really mean "klug"? "Ut
den Fehler is he arg woorn" = "That mistake has made him wise"? So "arg" =
"wary" = "distrustful" = "wise"? Only people who trust nobody are considered
wise, it seems. A pessimistic view! I once heard about the word "gescheit"
that it derives from "scheuen": "Er ist gescheit" = "Er ist gescheut", i.e.
he made a mistake that has given him a (salutary) shock. Is it so? Then both
words, "arg" and "gescheit", imply that negative experience adds to
cleverness. Only negative experience?! Wenn Schaden klug macht, bleiben wir
lieber dumm! :-)

So now we communicate in English, dear Hanne! Seems strange. I am very, very
proud of you! :-))

Knuddel!

Marlou
