Ingressives of that type, especially *Ja*, *Jap* and so forth, are common in

In Amharic, a non-phonemic (at least according to a traditional
understanding of that word) ingress of air flow commonly accompanies polite
(and/or) female pronunciation of the (the second, accented syllable of) word
*awo* "yes" (and also occurs less commonly w similar function accompanying
other expressions)

Hallo all' Lowlanners,

*Hatschi*, jüst möt ick prusten, niesen.
Bi *Ha *heff ick deip Aten halt un bi *schi *mit hogen Druck den'n Aten

As ick mit mien Kinnerprogramm (Hanne Sonnenhut) ünerwägens wier, heff ick
mit väl Handpoppen de Gören verlustiert. Bi de Poppen wier ok ein *Hahn *mit
bi (nee,  Ron du nich), ja, de müßt je ok kreigen. Un hüt ward mi nu klor,
dat mien Kreigen wat mit ingressive (Phonetik) to daun hadd. Also, Luft
ansuugen *ükükük-üüük* mihrmals so kreigen;dat klappte tämlich gaud. Noch
bäter, wenn de Stimm heisch (heiser) wier.

Wenn de lütten Katten un de Grot-Katten snurren, dat is nah mien Mein doch
ok ingressive Phonetik.

Wenn ein frömd' Minsch an mien Stuwendör bimmelt un ick, ahn mi wat Leegs
tau denken, de Dör upmak un mi so dägt vervieren dau un ... mit inhalen Aten
un Bang' dat *h(a)* segg, dat is also ok ingressive Phonetik.

DUDEN 5 *Das Fremdwörterbuch: ingressiv* 1. (Sprachw.) einen Beginn
ausdrückend (in Bezug auf Verben: z.B. entzünden, erblassen); ingressiver
Aorist: den Eintritt einer Handlung bezeichnender Aorist: Zeitform, die eine
momentane oder punktuelle Handlung ausdrückt (z.B. die erzählende Zeitform
im Griechischen).
