Yes, halal cooking is different from kosher.
1- In halal cuisine there is no problem in mixing milk or dairy ingredients
with meat. In kosher diet is forbiden
2- In halal coking, animals must be slaughtered with face to Makka. In
kosher, the most important is the position of the knife
3- In halal no problem with shrimp or lobster. In kosher, they are forbiden
4- In kosher cooking you must pray for every dish. In halal, only for the
entire food
