All wedder ein poetsch' Gräuten an all' Lowlanners

*    De Hornung weit gaud, wat hei will,
    hei œwerrascht uns oft mit Küll.
    Is't Wäder Lichtmeß (2.) hell un klor,
    denn is de Winter würklich wohr.
    Vör Lichtmeß möt de Lewark swigen,
    nahst kann sei't in denn' Snawel krigen.

    Up Leiw de Minschen sick besinn'n,
    an'n Valentin (14.) sei tau sick finn'n.
    Denn nimmt kein Enn' dat hartlich Gräuten
    mit Blaumenstruz un ok 'n Säuten.
    Un all' will'n sei de Besten sin,
    tau kort is man dis' Sünn'schin.

    Kein Winterslap, kein Winterdrom,
    Katteiker hüppt von Bom tau Bom
    koppdal un wedder hoch mit'n Ruck,
    un brus't mal up mit "tjuk, tjuk, tjuk."
    Ögt hei ut sin'n Kobel rut,
    wat hett hei för ne säute Snut.
