Beste jullie allen,
Het Nederlands "vijftien" kent in het Oostends (d.i. West-vlaams) twee
vormen:

- het oudere: vichtiene
- het jongere: vuftiene

De oude uitspraak van de vissersbevolking was: "fichtiene".

In nagenoeg geheel West-vlaanderen zegt men:   vuftiene!

Voor wat rusten, wat dutten, zegt men echter:    "'k Gon der vuuve pakn"
(ik zal er vijf nemen).

Iemand bedriegen is:   "etwien bie 't zevetienste zétn" (iemand bij het
zeventiende zetten).

Hopelijk heb je iets aan deze mededeling, beste Heiko.
