may also depend on which versions of the two applications you are
using are, and how they are configured, and if you need to set up
specific default fonts for complex scripts as distinct from
sometimes changing fonts in MS Word can be difficult. Since you’ve
explicitly identified padauk and yunghkio fonts in connection with MS
Word, then you are using a windows platform.
Myanmar script has no explicit support in Uniscribe, and is not
supported by Windows, therefore there is no font linking defined for
Myanmar script, so sometimes changing fonts isn't straightforward,
with MS Word attempting to fall back to some other font whiel you are
attempting to change it.
