National curriculum - Aboriginal languages

Dear RNLDers,

The Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) has
released the *Shape of the Australian Curriculum: Languages*, which
provides broad directions for the development of languages curriculum.

ACARA will now commence writing the languages curriculum for Chinese and
Italian, and a Framework for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
languages.
