[RNLD] Short-term job opportunity: Wägilak transcription

Hi everyone,


Ngukurr Language Centre invites expressions of interest for short-term paid transcription work on recordings of the Yolŋu language Ritharrŋu (also known as Wägilak).



We are seeking transcribers who are available to do at least 20 hours work (ideally more) between now and the end of October 2017. Applicants would ideally have experience in transcribing Australian languages and/or experience with Yolŋu languages, and experience using Elan.



Resources available to help you with this work include a Ritharrŋu grammar and dictionary (Jeffrey Heath, 1980), the online Yolŋu-matha dictionary (https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/44GEBkSmWDkWc1?domain=yolngudictionary.cdu.edu.au), existing transcriptions in Elan and initial phone mentoring if needed.
