Hi All,

See below an opportunity for Indigenous people to work on manuscripts of
their language/s using the tools in Nyingarn. Please share through your
networks as appropriate.

***

Do you want to use manuscripts in your language? Funds are available to
work on manuscripts of Australian Indigenous languages.
The aim is to get manuscripts transcribed and have text available for
searching and re-using in language programmes. Each manuscript needs to be
approved by a relevant language authority.
The manuscript will then be put into the Nyingarn platform (

)
Grants will be allocated depending on the amount of time required, up to 60
hours of work.
The deadlines for submitting these proposals are February 15th, March 8th,
and April 12th.

This project is supported by the Research Unit for Indigenous Language and
the Language Data Commons of Australia.
