Dear all,

   Bill Mann passed away last Friday. The message below was from
his wife.

Dear family and friends,

Thank you for praying for Bill these last weeks. He stepped into the presence
of his Lord and Savior this morning, August 13, 2004 at 12:15 am. Our three
children were with him at the time. He went quietly and peacefully.

There will be a celebration of his life at Calvary Church in Charlotte on
Monday, August 16 at 2 pm, in the chapel. Everyone is welcome.

...and from his daughter, Carolyn, an earlier message, some weeks before:

Many of you know dad is being treated for leukemia. Part of his treatment
was placing a port into his brain for chemo. About two and a half weeks ago
a blood clot was located in his brain. He had a brain surgery. More blood
clots formed and he had two more surgeries. Sometime between or during surgeries
he suffered a major stoke.
