Call for Papers and Presentations
COTSEAL/SEASSI 2003
JULY 17-19, 2003 Univeristy of Wisconsin -Madison
The Council of Teachers of Southeast Asian Languages (COTSEAL) and the
Southeast Asian Studies Summer Institute (SEASSI) at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison sponsor the 13th Annual Conference on Southeast Asian
Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics on July 17-19, 2003 at the Pyle
Convention Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison. The theme for this
year's conference is "Teaching beyond classroom"
Papers and presentations about language teaching, approaches, and
materials development relevant to Southeast Asian languages and cultures
are welcome. Each presentation should be thirty minutes (20 minutes
presentation with 10 minutes for questions and discussions).
Abstract Deadline: MAY 31, 200
Notification of acceptance: JUNE 15, 2003
The following two items must be sent to the organizers:
1) one hard copy of a one-page abstract (8.5"x11", or A4) which
should include title, a brief description of not more than 100 words,
address, phone and fax, and e-mail. You may also submit your proposal by
fax. Send your hard copy to:
