There supposed to be more versions of Master and Margarita around, e.g. a
Yugoslavian film by (hope I am not mistaken) A.Petrovich, as well as the
recent Russian movie by YU.Kara, which I am afraid was never made public
even in Russia for artistic reasons.

As far as Sobach'e serdtse is concerned you can get it for ab. $15 from RBC
video (128 Bay 34th St., Brooklyn, NY 11214).

   I thought I would put in a
>>recommendation for a film version of another Bulgakov work, "Sobach'e
>>serdtse," which I saw in Russia in 1990 or so. I thought it was terrific.
>>I have never seen it available in the States. It may even have been a
>>Russian TV movie. If anyone has a copy of this or knows where to get it,
>>I'd appreciate hearing about it. Thanks.

>>FACETS VIDEO is worth knowing about if you are a Slavist, or film buff, or
>>both. If it's available in the US, chances are they have it. You can order
>>their 300 page catalogue for about $15 by calling 1-800-331-6197. If you're
>>lucky enough to live in Chicago, you can stop by and rent all these great
>>movies.
