Maybe educators nationwide should take advantage of this election year and make
education a critical issue in the presidential race.  It would be a means of
drawing the American public's attention to what a frightening turn
education is taking in this age of budget cuts--and to  explain what the
longterm effects of such a turn.
We are educators.  Therefore, we should EDUCATE the public.
