Query: Prof. Lozanov's TFL method

Dear SEELANGers!
Has anybody got any information on  the method of teaching foreign languages
developed by a Bulgarian Professor Lozanov? As far as I remember, it was
called 'suggestivny', but I might be wrong. It was further developed by Prof.
Kitaigorodskaya from Moscow University and was quite popular in 1970-1980s.

Does anybody know  the right name of the method, whether or not it is still
being used, what happened to the author and  are there any Lozanov's followers
in other contries? (I used to learn Estonian in Tallinn by this method   but I
am not familiar with its theory). It would be interesting to talk to someone
who was /is using this method or find some bibliography.
