CFP : AAASS 2002 : Images of Adolescent Girls in Slavic Literature and Film

Hello, all-

I am interested in putting together a panel for the 2002 AAASS Conference:

Images of Adolescent Girls in Slavic Literature & Film

This panel will look at how adolescent girls have appeared in Slavic
Literature and Film, and proposals are encouraged from the entire range of
literary/film production, from belles lettres to underground production to
mass literature. This panel will focus on a figure often marginalized by
gender and age, and bring her into the center of our examination. Possible
areas of inquiry include the images of adolescent girls in relation to
sexuality, politics, culture, etc., and also how these girls appear in
memoir writing, in writing produced for an adolescent audience, and in
writings by adolescent girls themselves.
