English equivalent of "pilit'"

Дорогие Силанговцы!
Прошу прощения за мою запоздалую реакцию по этому поводу.
Я хотел лишь подчеркнуть, что выражение "пилить (на скрипке)"
довольно необычно. Есть еще слово "пиликать", и в отличие от
слова "пилить", оно имеет отношение только к музыкальному
инструменту.
