DVD-players that work with PAL DVDs

Just to add to Michael's comments:

Not all the DVDs that I have been furiously buying before I return from Russia play on my laptop, but they do play on my neighbor's laptop. Some DVDs were very fussy about playing on WindowsMedia Player and none of them liked PowerDVD. My neighbor has WinDVD on her laptop and they all played without a hitch. Thus, don't be discouraged if at first a DVD doesn't play on your computer - you may just need to try a few different programs.
