Dear Colleagues,

Jane Hacking (University of Utah) and I are organizing a panel or
roundtable (to be decided) dedicated to the topic of changes, new
directions, etc., in Structure of Russian courses from a
pedagogical/curriculum perspective. Examples of such changes could
include, but are not exclusive to, adding an experimental acoustic
component in order to address needs of pronunciation acquisition, or
including topics beyond the standard phonology and morphology, such
as sociolinguistics, pragmatics, etc., to address the needs of future
teachers of Russian. Contributions dealing with any restructuring
from a pedagogical point of view are welcome. The preliminary title
of this panel or roundtable is: Innovations in courses on Structure
of Russian. Please respond to me off-line at:
eelliott at northwestern.edu

Sincerely,
Elisabeth Elliott
