On-line placement testing

The powers that be at my institution are pushing for summer on-line 
Russian placement testing for incoming freshmen. I would be interested 
in hearing (off-list) from colleagues who already have on-line testing 
in place. What instrument do you use? Are you concerned about cheating? 
Are you satisfied with how students are being placed? How have you 
handled handwriting and oral proficiency? I hope to be well armed when I 
go in to meet with the dean about this.
