We wish to appoint an outstanding scholar with an international  
reputation in any area of Russian Studies to a Chair in Russian, by 1  
September 2008 or as soon as possible thereafter. You should be able  
to demonstrate a sustained research and publications record of  
international standing, have a proven capacity for academic  
leadership, have a commitment to the achievement of the highest  
standards in teaching and programme development at undergraduate and  
postgraduate levels, and be ready to play a major role in shaping the  
future of Russian Studies at St Andrews.
