recommendation

Dear colleagues:

I have been asked for a recommendation of a survey of Russian history (from 1850-present) written (and translated) by a post-Soviet Russian historian. The prospective reader would like to see a "Russian" take on events of the last 150 or so years. Any suggestions? Please reply off-list.
