Plugging the phrase "изумительная нечеловеческая музыка" (izumitel'naia 
nechelovecheskaia muzyka) in cyrillic into Google produces a vast number 
of references to Lenin's comments on the Appassionata, including one 
that mentions a 1963 film depicting Lenin and Gorky listening to Isai 
Dobrovein's performance of the sonata, which supposedly evoked Lenin's 
comment.
