Can someone give me the title of the Chekhov story to which Grossman allludes here?

А в приемной, наверное, стоял милый запах кипарисового дерева, ладана, нагретого воска и сухих васильков. Я ожидал этих запахов так же, как чеховский мальчик полагал, что чемоданы дяди генерала набиты порохом и пулями.
