TISLR 8?

Hi, Kearsy. How's your life in Bristol? We all miss you here at UT.

I have not heard any progress (or regress) regarding the possible TISLR 8, either. My understanding at the last TISLR conference (in 2000) was that 2002 would be not good because of Deaf Way II and Gallaudet would not host TISLR 8, and 2003 would be also not good because of the WFD conference in Montreal.

Is this valid even now, folks? is any institution going to raise a hand for TISLR 8? There is a Japanese expression, "iidashippe", which refers to a person who has said something first and means "the first one to bring it up". How about Bristol, Kearsy? At UT? Maybe not. We hosted one in 2000. How about other institutes that have sign linguists, like, in U.S., New Mexico, Purdue, Boston, Connecticut, Washington, San Diego (Salk)??? Any suggestions???
