QUESTION: Is it necessary to write the position of a flexed wrist?
ANSWER: Usually no. In the case of the sign for "STAND" in ASL, I
wouldn't bother.

QUESTION: How do you write the wrist flexed?

ANSWER, Part 1: There is a difference between writing "wrist
movement", and writing the "position of being flexed". In the sign
for "STAND", it is a static position, not an actual wrist movement.
Positions of the body are written with parts of stick figures...in
this case the wrist line and the forearm line are written attached to
the hand symbol:
