QUESTION: SignWriter 4.4 on Windows

I believe XP can support DOS applications in a "compatibility mode". Andy,
I think you need to set the "environment" for the SignWriter application so
that it has the full memory that a DOS computer could give it (640K RAM). I
don't have an XP computer, so I can't be more specific than that. If it
still is a problem, I can talk to a friend of mine who has XP and ask him if
we can test it on his system and I can explain it more specifically.
Remember SignWriter is a DOS program and expects a DOS environment and the
640K RAM that DOS would give it. It doesn't matter how many MB of RAM you
have, if the portion of the RAM from 640K and below is not fully available
to the DOS program, it will usually croak. That is an error that dates from
the DOS days.
Thanks,
Stuart
